Where the old self ends and the new I begins.
No one becomes new without leaving something behind.
No threshold opens without a cut.
K-ATI holds the moment between an ending and a beginning. The place where the old self has been released, but the new I has not yet fully taken form. It is a rupture, a passage and a bridge at once.
Built through layers of ink, gouache and locally sourced pigments transformed into oil paint, the five works carry this transition across their surfaces. Fragments remain visible. Forms disappear and return. Each panel becomes part of a larger movement from what was towards what is becoming.
K-ATI speaks to the part of you that knows when it is time to cross. To honour what shaped you without remaining bound to it. To release an old form. To step into the space beyond certainty and allow a new self to emerge.
There is power in the passage.
Ending and beginning.
Rupture and bridge.

The cut is not where you end.
